Extremely Rare - ITO Japan 1950s Blue Star Boat N-250 - Tin Toy with Original Box - Space Age
Offered: an exceptionally rare specimen of the iconic Blue Star Boat N-250, manufactured by ITO (Japan) in the 1950s.
This is a top piece from the golden post-war era of the Japanese tin toy industry. The model is unmistakably inspired by the Space Age, with a futuristic hull, colorful lithography and the highly sought-after, tall rear fins that make this model so decorative.
Mechanics:
Equipped with the original mechanical wind-up spring mechanism (clockwork). Winding is via the integrated hand-crank on the deck. The mechanism has been fully functionally tested: the spring feels exceptionally strong and the propeller spins quickly and powerfully.
Condition:
The boat is in very good condition given its age of 70+ years.
• Tinplate: Still with a beautiful, deep gloss.
