Description from the seller
Magnificent antique dessert service
Art Deco era
Soft green molded glass with gilding
Ouraline spirit
8 pieces
Superb and elegant antique dessert service in pressed-molded glass, consisting of a large serving bowl and seven charming matching individual bowls.
A particularly refined set, with undeniable retro charm, evoking the fine glass productions of the Art Deco period, probably between the 1930s and 1950s.
This service immediately captivates with the delicacy of its decoration and its magnificent play of light.
Each piece features an elegant flared shape, outlined by delicate vertical relief ridges, alternating with smooth sections that wonderfully catch the light. The fluted rims, finely enhanced with touches of gold, provide a particularly distinguished finish.
At the bottom of each bowl, as well as the large serving bowl, unfolds a superb radiating star motif, a true aesthetic signature of decorative glassware inspired by Art Deco.
But what makes the charm of this ensemble is above all its magnificent transparency, slightly tinted aqua-green, pale green with luminous reflections, evocatively recalling old Ouraline glass, also called uranium glass.
The appearance and nuances of this glass strongly recall Ouraline, highly prized by collectors. However, in the absence of specific verification, this identification remains a hypothesis and cannot be guaranteed.
