A vintage zinc‑coated wire milk‑bottle rack with six one‑litre transparent glass bottles, made in Italy in the 1950s–1960s, bearing BRF dairy branding and the Z‑SFAI mark, dimensions 38.7 × 29.4 × 19.2 cm, in good used condition.
AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Vintage basket in galvanized wire (no loose wires) with transparent glass milk bottles, similar to models used by dairies in the last century.
6 one-liter milk bottles
Historical Z-SFAI brand (connected to Zignago glassworks), dating from the 1950s-60s
Heart-shaped brand on the body
BRF dairy brand, presumably dating from the 1950s-60s
Embossed marks typical of classic Italian milk bottles from the vintage period (1950s-70s)
Story: They come from the milk exchange service of the era. To save on paper labels (which deteriorated easily with the high-temperature washes required to sanitize and reuse the glass), brands fused their names directly into the glass and onto the plating of the metal baskets.
