Marten Toonder Studio's - 1 original painting - Marten Toonder Studio's - Tom Poes & Heer Bommel - Tom Poes met sjaal (jaren 1970)

Original drawings by Marten Toonder Studio's have always been extremely rare and that can and will never change. On December 1, 2010, the cultural heritage of Marten Toonder (all the work that Marten Toonder himself made) was officially transferred by the heirs to the Letterkundig Museum Leiden and since then thus owned by the Dutch State. In November 2018, the archive of the Marten Toonder Studio's was donated to the Literatuurmuseum in The Hague and the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam. See the last photo. The chance that original drawings come onto the market has therefore become extremely small.

This drawing, now up for auction, is a wonderful, originally painted "publiciteitscel" (not a film cel!), painted in the 1970s on celluloid for advertising purposes of Marten Toonder Studio's. See also photo 4 of the back, which shows that the drawing is original.

Size; about 18 x 8 cm.

Also see the photos which form a substantial part of the description and give a good impression of the quality.

The lovely centerpiece will be sent to the new owner by registered mail, maximally securely packaged."
