Description from the seller
A piece of aviation history: a fine chapter involving the “Maatschappij voor Luchtvaart”.
The Maatschappij voor Luchtvaart N.V. was founded in 1911 by The Hague automobile traders Verwey & Lugard for the operation of the air camps Ede and Soesterberg. The company was involved in flight training, flight demonstrations and the construction and trade of aircraft; among others Frits Koolhoven and Henri Wijnmalen were involved. Due to disappointing commercial results, the company went bankrupt on January 29, 1912, after which the activities and sites ultimately formed an important basis for the development of military aviation in Soesterberg.
In very good condition. Supplied with coupons.
