[Appearance]
This SANSUI AU-D707X DECADE features a beautifully understated black front panel, accented by elegant gold-colored vertical trim along both sides.
The large central volume knob immediately draws attention, while the neatly arranged rotary controls, rectangular input selector buttons, and slim vertical switches give the amplifier a refined, purposeful appearance.
I particularly appreciate the symmetrical balance of the front panel. Despite having numerous functions, the layout remains wonderfully organized and easy on the eyes.
The understated Sansui logo and the delicate gold accents add a touch of classic elegance without becoming overly decorative.
The substantial metal cabinet and gold-colored feet also contribute to the impressive presence of this vintage Japanese amplifier.
As a pre-owned vintage component, the unit shows some signs of age and previous use.
Light scratches, surface marks, and minor wear can be seen on the cabinet, particularly around the upper edges and top surface. Some light dust and age-related marks are also visible.
However, the front panel lettering remains generally clear, the main knobs and switches appear to be present, and the amplifier retains its dignified original appearance.
What I find especially charming is the combination of its simple black finish and those narrow gold-colored accents.
There is a certain warmth to this design. It reminds me of the days when choosing a record, gently lowering the stylus, and sitting down to enjoy an entire album was a small but treasured part of everyday life.
With its substantial construction and distinctive mid-1980s styling, this is an attractive piece for enthusiasts of classic Japanese audio equipment.

[Functionality]
Functional testing is complete.
Input: CD
Audio Output: Output from Speaker A was confirmed.
Even after adjusting the volume and balance,
no crackling noise was detected.

However, the PROTECTOR circuit frequently activates. On the rare occasions when the PROTECTOR does not activate, audio output functioned normally.

Since there may be a problem with the relay, please have it serviced before use.



We have not thoroughly tested any functions other than those listed above, and they are not covered by the warranty.
