German-made mechanical figural mantel clock in a gold-coloured brass case with a glass dome, mechanical movement, not striking, with winding key, dimensions 49 × 40 × 25 cm (dome on).
Description from the seller
Very decorative antique French mantel clock / pendule with a figurative gilded case, light stone base, and a large glass dome. The dial is labeled “Gambey – Châtillon-sur-Seine.” Mechanical movement with a pendulum and a bell striking mechanism. Marking on the movement: GR 2778. The matching winding key is included. The clock can be wound, runs, and the striking mechanism with the bell functions. The pendulum is present. However, the clock runs too fast for me. It should therefore be professionally adjusted or checked. No warranty.
There was once a smaller part broken off at one point. It would be glued back, the spot is hardly visible. I want to expressly note this.
The clock, without glass dome and base, is about 33 cm high, 33 cm wide, and 16 cm deep. With glass dome and base it measures 49 x 40 x 25.
Signs of age and wear are present. Sale in the condition shown. Professional dating was not possible.
