Knife-sheath - Japan - 1990-2000

Beautiful set of four vintage Japanese kitchen knives, each with its own traditional blade type and character. The knives have clearly lived and show signs of use and patina that match their age and authentic appearance. The different wooden handles make each knife unique.
The set consists of a 31 cm nakiri, with the distinctive wide, rectangular blade traditionally used for preparing vegetables. Also a 32 cm yanagiba, with a long and narrow blade for fine, precise slices.
Furthermore the set includes a robust 28 cm deba and a versatile 30 cm santoku. On several knives Japanese markings/characters are visible, both on the blades and on some handles.
An attractive and varied vintage set for enthusiasts of Japanese kitchen knives, traditional tools and authentic everyday objects. The knives are sold in vintage condition, with visible signs of wear and age as shown in the photos.
