Villeroy & Boch - Table service (40) - Earthenware - exotic birds and flowers

This set features a decoration of exotic birds and multicolored floral motifs on a cream-colored background.
The reverse of the pieces bears the official Mettlach stamp with the historical inscription “Made in France - Saar Economic Union,” allowing precise dating of manufacture between 1947 and 1956.
The set comprises 40 pieces in total, including: 23 large flat plates, 12 small dessert plates (as well as a thirteenth piece showing a crack), 2 oval trays, 1 large oval serving dish, and 1 matching gravy boat with its tray.
