Model Pilotes reproduction of a collection art print after the original, on a semi-rigid support, in good condition, measuring 30 × 42 cm.
Description from the seller
Art print of a reproduction after the original on a semi-rigid support representing the illustrious Italian pilot Francesco Baracca, top ace of the Regia Aeronautica during World War I (34 confirmed victories).
In this superb historical image, one can observe the pilot proudly posing in front of his SPAD biplane.
The side of the aircraft proudly bears his personal insignia: the famous Cavallino Rampante (the Prancing Horse).
This symbol on Baracca's plane was offered a few years later by the pilot's mother to Enzo Ferrari, thus becoming the legendary logo of the Ferrari automobile brand.
A vignette in the bottom left corner of the poster also shows a portrait of his friend Enzo Ferrari.
Good overall condition (see photos for details of the borders and corners).
Presence of an era-stamped studio mark ("Studio Ellepi Rovereto") printed at the bottom right of the image, guaranteeing the charm and authenticity of the visual.
