Description from the seller
Old desk mirror in metal with beveled antique glass, featuring a promotional inscription along the edge reading "Dono dei Magazzini Stoffe Tadini & Lambertenghi - Novara".
The inscription "Dono dei Magazzini..." impressed on the edge of the glass places this mirror in the first half of the 20th century (probably between the 1930s and 1950s).
At that time, large textile shops and wholesale trading firms were in the habit of gifting their most important customers or local tailoring shops with useful items for daily activities (such as dressing-room table mirrors, perpetual calendars, or tailor meters) customized with their own brand.
Brand history: Tadini Lambertenghi was a leading company in the textile trading and distribution. Its documented corporate history develops mainly between 1932 and 1977 (through various transformations into S.r.l., S.a.s., and finally S.p.A.), although the founding families had operated in the sector earlier. The company had an important commercial network with offices in Milan (Viale Porta Nuova), in Novara, and production plants or warehouses also in Lesa, on Lake Maggiore.

NOTE: small chip on one side (detailed photo) that does not detract from the object's charm
