Petrified wood - Fossilised wood - Dipterocarpus - 15 cm (No reserve price)

Set of 4 Top Polished Petrified Wood Freeform Sculptures – 8–15 cm / 5.09 kg Total – Dipterocarpus – Java, Indonesia (Miocene)

Description:
A distinctive set of four free-standing, top polished petrified wood log sections (Dipterocarpus sp.) sourced from Java, Indonesia. Dating back to the Miocene epoch (approx. 5 to 23 million years ago), this 5.09 kg collection features a compelling contrast between smoothly polished cross-section faces and raw, deeply textured outer bark perimeters.

Visual & Aesthetic Highlights:
* Natural Organic Texture: Each specimen highlights authentic, rugged bark grooves around the exterior, beautifully capturing the raw look of ancient fossilized timber.
* Rich Earthy Palette: Displays a warm range of mineral colors including honey-gold, ochre, sandy tan, dark mocha brown, and soft grey chalcedony fills.
* Free-Standing Formats: Each piece is cut flat at the base to stand securely on its own, making them ideal as desktop sculptures, shelf displays, or natural paperweights.
* Top Polished Accents: Top polished smooth on their upper cut faces to reveal fine wood grain structures and annual ring lines.
