MG B Roadster Overdrive from 1973 with a 1.8 L petrol engine and manual transmission, currently black with about 93,288 miles and Dutch registration with a valid MOT.
Description from the seller
Very nice and nicely running MG Roadster / Tourer Overdrive Cabriolet from 1973, original 1.8 liter engine with manual transmission and electric overdrive on the third and fourth gears. This is one of the last MGB models with chrome bumpers, in the beautiful black color, and Rostyle wheels. A car that makes you smile, and then the drive begins, exceptionally MGB indeed. The car is exempt from APK (MOT) and road tax due to its age. Allegedly, this reliable MGB drove in Iceland for a period of time, as evidenced by the stickers on the windshield.
DOCUMENTS:
This MGB was new in the USA, and came to the Netherlands in 1989, and therefore has a Dutch registration; an officially RDW-recognized VIN number has been applied, corresponding to the VIN number on the RDW registration certificate. With the EU Export Documents, which can be supplied for an additional €50, a potential foreign new owner can easily register the car in his/her country.
EXTERIOR:
The car shows some signs of use, which is not surprising after 53 years; the car looks fine, and the underside is reasonably tidy, not perfect, see the photos. This MGB is above-average for paint and rust, also on the MGB-critical spots it is very neat; the black paint has developed some patina, perhaps nice to leave it as is, and of course it can be easily polished away, that is up to the new owner. The convertible roof / soft top is in good and neat condition; a tonneau cover is included, see photos.
TECHNICAL:
Since the last owner did the maintenance himself, there are no invoices available; the car is ready to drive and starts, runs, shifts, brakes, and steers excellently, like new. There are various gauges, lamps (1x fog light, 1x front passing light) etc. installed, which give the car a slightly personalized touch.
INTERIOR:
The car is equipped with a reasonably neat interior, with signs of use. The seat upholstery is old and has faded somewhat from the sun, but it looks tidy, not perfect. In short, a neat and wonderfully driving MGB.
PICKUP:
The car is located in Hengevelde, Netherlands and can of course be picked up here or delivered at an additional cost.
OTHER INFORMATION:
The car can be transported to the entire European Union (possibly worldwide) at an additional cost by a professional transporter at relatively low cost.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
