Description from the seller
Single-door walnut and burr walnut inlaid sideboard – Victorian Era, 19th century
Elegant single-door sideboard from the Victorian era, made in walnut and burr walnut and enriched with refined multicolored floral inlays. The front is dominated by a rich door decorated with a central panel shaped with undulating reserves, inside which unfolds a delicate floral marquetry composition, framed by spectacular burr walnut grain carefully selected.
The upper frieze and the lateral uprights are further enhanced by inlaid floral decorations that confer on the piece a notable ornamental impact. The interior, accessible through the front door, is organized with practical shelves lined, making it ideal for the storage of books, collectible objects, or household services.
The structure rests on a shaped base with a lively profile, typical of nineteenth-century English production. An excellent example of Victorian cabinetry, it combines the decorative richness of inlays with the natural beauty of burr walnut, creating an ensemble of great elegance and prestige. It preserves a pleasant patina of age and signs of time consistent with the age of the artifact.
