Japanese tinplate and battery-operated Lion Target Game, complete in original box with gun, produced in Japan by Modern Toys - TM Trade Mark Japan from the 1950s to 1960s, in excellent condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Vintage toy made in TM (Trade Mark Modern Toys) JAPAN from the 1950s–60s. Original with box in wonderful condition and working.
Automaton Lion robot to which you shoot the dart with the tin pistol.
When struck it roars, moves, and its eyes light up.
The Lion is in museum-grade condition; perfect, it looks as if it just came from the factory.
The pistol is functional and shoots very well.
You need to hit the button on the lion's side to activate it.
The button to press needs lubrication because shooting the dart doesn’t generate enough pressure to activate it, whereas touching it with a finger activates it immediately.
I asked artificial intelligence how to solve the problem and it told me that it’s a matter of the ancient lubricant that has dried and should be lubricated again.
We are talking about a very rare TIN TOY, especially in these immaculate conditions.
The box even includes the INTERNAL packaging, the Lion, a Dart and its Tin pistol
Working toy: I attach a VIDEO link from my YouTube channel where it can be seen in OPERATION
