Large and expressive wall-mounted sculptural mask depicting the famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven, made in dense plaster/scagliola or patinated terracotta with a bronze-like/gilded terracotta finish.
The work is characterized by a vigorous and expressive modeling that highlights the hair and the intense facial features.
On the back there are two important marks imprinted directly into the material:
1. Signature and Title: the inscription "Beethoven" is engraved in italics, accompanied by the author's/manufacture's monogram.
2. Deposit Mark: Rectangular stamp bearing the inscriptions "DÉPOSÉ - REPRODUCTION INTERDITE - MADE IN ITALY" (Registered mark, reproduction prohibited, Product of Italy).
