This hand-knotted Chinese silk rug features an elegant oval shape and a decorative floral and butterfly design. On the light background, several realistically designed flower stems, leaves, and butterflies are distributed in an open, asymmetrical arrangement.

A subtly drawn ornamental border traces the oval form and harmoniously frames the inner field. Cream, beige, dark gold-brown, old rose, green, and muted blue define the restrained color palette. The surrounding long silk fringes emphasize the exceptional design.
