Description from the seller

Pair of Art Deco Geometric Bookends - Polychrome Marble and Onyx - France, c. 1930

A beautiful and authentic pair of French Art Deco bookends dating from the 1920s–1930s. These bookends feature a striking architectural, tiered geometric design that perfectly embodies the modernist spirit of the Art Deco era.

Crafted from a sophisticated combination of three different natural stones, they display an exquisite play of textures and colors:
- A warm cream onyx/marble base and back support.
- A highly decorative, dark grey fossiliferous marble inlay with unique natural patterns.
- Elegant multi-toned geometric brackets showcasing beautiful golden-yellow and grey veining.

Due to the organic nature of the stone, each piece has its own unique, asymmetrical vein pattern, making this set a truly one-of-a-kind decorative item for a library, office, or mantelpiece.

Condition:
In excellent vintage condition. Both bookends are 100% structurally solid and completely intact, with no cracks, chips, or previous repairs. The original polished finish has been beautifully preserved over the decades, showing only minor, minor signs of age consistent with a genuine antique object. (Please refer to the high-resolution photos for a detailed view of the natural stone patterns and condition).

Dimensions : 11 cm × 11.5 cm × 7.5 cm

The product will be professionally packed and sent safely to your address by local post.
The pictures of the product are made with the highest possible resolution, precisely to capture possible small defects (small scratches, stains, defect), the pictures are part of the product description.
