Pompon spent most of his life in service to other artists. He directed Rodin's workshop from 1890 to 1895, before becoming René de Saint-Marceaux's assistant until 1916. In search of his own style, he was greatly influenced by the rise of Japonism and his admiration for Egyptian art.
It was only at the age of 67 that he attained fame with the exhibition of his famous White Bear.
Parastone has successfully created decorative objects for almost 50 years, some of timeless classical beauty and others more aligned with prevailing trends. The museum piece collection presented under the name Mouseion constitutes an important part of the collection. In addition to exact copies of major artworks, the Mouseion series also includes three-dimensional interpretations of paintings and drawings by many artists, from Hieronymus Bosch to Salvador Dalí.
