Pompon spent most of his life in the service of other artists. He directed Rodin's workshop from 1890 to 1895, before becoming the assistant of René de Saint-Marceaux until 1916. In search of his own style, he was heavily influenced by the rise of japonism and his admiration for Egyptian art.

It was only at the age of 67 that he rose to fame, with the exhibition of his famous White Bear.

Parastone has successfully created for almost 50 years decorative objects, some of timeless classic beauty and others more suited to prevailing trends. The collection of museum pieces presented under the name Mouseion forms an important part of the collection. In addition to accurate reproductions of major works of art, the Mouseion series also includes three-dimensional interpretations of paintings and drawings by many artists, from Hieronymus Bosch to Salvador Dalí.
