AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
A beautiful and authentic Art Nouveau / Jugendstil serving tray, dating from circa 1900–1920, featuring an elegant and richly detailed floral design.
The tray is particularly striking for its stylised flowers, leaves and flowing organic lines, characteristic of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. The central wooden panel is decorated with an elaborate floral composition, complemented by decorative corner motifs. The warm natural wood tones contrast beautifully with the dark, finely detailed ornamentation.
With its impressive dimensions of 57 × 36 × 4 cm, this is a genuinely large-sized tray, making it especially striking as both a functional serving piece and a decorative object. The substantial wooden frame and two metal handles further enhance its presence.
Condition
Good antique condition. The tray is solid and sturdy, with the construction sound and secure; nothing is loose. It shows cracks, stains and other signs of age and use consistent with its age, which contribute to its authentic antique character. Please carefully study all photographs, as they form an important part of the description.
