The Denon PMA-2000AE is a high-end integrated stereo amplifier from Denon's well-known Advanced Evolution series. This amplifier is known in the audio world as an absolute 'tank' because of its extreme build quality (24 kg) and its ability to control almost any speaker with ease and total control.
Main Specifications
Power: 2 x 80 Watt RMS at 8 Ohm (doubled to 2 x 160 Watt at 4 Ohm). Don't be fooled by the 80 Watt specification; thanks to a very high power supply (UHC-MOS-FET), it sounds more dynamic and powerful than many separate power amplifiers.
Construction: Dual-mono construction with a fully separated chassis in 6 sections to minimize interference. It is equipped with double, parallel switched transformers.
Frequency range: Very wide range from 5 Hz to 100 kHz, which also makes it ideal for high-resolution audio sources such as SACD.
Phono step: Excellent built-in phono preamplifier that is suitable for both MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) elements.
Power Amp Direct: A unique input that passes the preamplifier. This allows you to use the PMA-2000AE purely as a power amplifier in a home theater/surround setup for your front speakers.
