AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
The Primare DVD26 is a high-quality, high-end DVD and CD player launched in 2004 by the Scandinavian audio brand Primare. Although originally designed as a premium DVD player for home theater systems, today it is particularly praised by audiophiles and used as an excellent stereo CD player or CD run thanks to its high-quality internal components.
Below are the main features and specifications of the Primare DVD26:
Audio performance & DAC
High-End DAC: The player uses the excellent Burr-Brown PCM1738 (24-bit/192kHz) digital-to-analog converter for two-channel audio.
Sound quality: The analog output stage is discreetly built with MosFet transistors. This ensures a very pure, detailed and musical CD playback that can compete with stand-alone CD players from the same price range.
Surround downmixing: Supports internal Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 downmixing to an analog stereo signal.
Video performance
Video DAC & Processor: Equipped with an Analog Devices ADV7320 (216MHz/12-bit) video DAC and the well-known Genesis Faroudja FLI2300 progressive-scan video processor.
Resolutions: Provides upscaling and conversion capabilities from 480i/576i to 1080i via HDMI (depending on the specific HDMI or DVI revision of the model).
