Description from the seller
Tenuta Vitalonga, Umbria Rosso "Terra di Confine" 2017
DESCRIPTION:
Producer: Tenuta Vitalonga
Wine: Umbria Rosso "Terra di Confine"
Vintage: 2017
Number of Bottles: 6
Size: 0,75L
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese
Aging: in French oak barriques for 10–12 months
Alc.: 14,5%
Terra di Confine displays an intense ruby-red color with subtle violet hues. The nose is complex, offering notes of cherry jam, small forest fruits, nutmeg, and cinnamon. On the palate, it is rich, persistent, and caressing, featuring dense yet soft tannins. It is a wine of great substance, built for aging.
A small portion of the grapes was selected and set aside to undergo partial drying before vinification. Following destemming and gentle crushing, the grapes underwent cold maceration, followed by a 21-day fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine matures in French oak barriques for 10–12 months, where malolactic fermentation enhances the finesse and pleasantness of its aromas. After bottling, the wine rests and matures in the bottle for a further 24 months.
