Telefunken - Digitale 101 Transistor radio

This device is a Telefunken Digital 101, a well-known vintage clock radio (radiowecker) from the early 1970s (introduced around 1971).
Despite the word 'digital' in the name, it uses a mechanical klappzahlen (flip clock) time display and an analog radio receiver. The space-age design with the characteristic white or cream plastic housing and the black front panel was, at the time, a very popular household product in Europe.
This also comes from the family where it was bought new in 1970; we always listened to offshore radio stations and, later, to the local pirates.
The radio has served well for years and is simply fantastic. I still use it every day, but we want to move to a smaller home.
A gem for the collector.
