Description from the seller
Pyrite with Quartz Specimen - Trepça Mine, Mitrovica, Kosovo - Natural Crystals for Collection
Product description:
In sale a splendid and characteristic mineral specimen composed of a rich aggregate of pyrite crystals associated with small white quartz crystals. This piece comes from the famous Trepça mining complex (Stari Trg), located in the Mitrovica region in Kosovo, a locality historically renowned worldwide for the quality and variety of its hydrothermal samples.
The structure develops with a very aesthetic three-dimensional growth, formed by a geometric framework of small and glossy pyrite crystals in golden and bronze tones. On the metallic surface delicate contrasts stand out formed by growths of white, crystalline quartz, which confer notable visual complexity to the piece. An essential piece for lovers of European classic minerals and systematic classification.
