Description from the seller
Include certificate
Scientific Name:
Zlichovaspis rugosa
Phacops (Morocops) ovatus
Location:
Alnif Region, Morocco
Stage:
Devonian
Size:
Approximately 9–10 cm (complete matrix)
Fossil description:
Exceptional set formed by two trilobites in flight: Zlichovaspis rugosa, with fine spines and highly aesthetic morphology, accompanied by a Phacops (Morocops) ovatus perfectly defined in the same matrix.
Both pieces have been cleaned by hand using sandblasting, a process that requires a great deal of manual labor to reveal each anatomical detail without compromising the fossil's integrity.
The matrix presents a balanced and very attractive composition, with clear readability of both specimens, which makes this piece a museum-level fossil, extremely difficult to find with this quality and disposition.
Restoration:
Natural piece; manual preparation with sandblasting.
