Description from the seller
The Philips DFA888 is a distinctive high-end integrated amplifier from Philips’ 800 series, developed in Japan and introduced in the late 1980s. What makes the DFA888 particularly interesting is its combination of a powerful analogue amplifier section with an integrated 16-bit digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), making it one of Philips’ early-generation digital amplifiers.
The amplifier delivers 85 watts per channel at 8 ohms according to the DIN specification, with substantial current capability for demanding loudspeakers. It features both analogue and digital inputs, including an optical Toslink input and coaxial digital connections. The integrated DAC uses 16-bit conversion with 4× oversampling and digital filtering.
To ensure this product is delivered properly, it is packed in very sturdy boxes, wrapped in bubble wrap. In addition to the strong packaging, the box is stamped as fragile, using orange ‘fragile’ tape. For any further packing requests please message after purchase.
