Description from the seller

Two large hearts: For Thanks Received
Hammered and engraved silvered copper
Italy, first half of the 19th century

At the center of each heart there is a raised, intricate monogram with the letters "PGR".
Each heart is surmounted by stylized flames and by a crown, symbolizing spiritual fervor and divine sovereignty.

On the sides of the central heart are two winged cherub figures, representing heavenly messengers. Their wings are crafted with an elaborate net pattern or filigree, suggesting detailed artisanal workmanship.

A third cherub face is positioned at the bottom of each piece.
The entire design is framed by decorative scrolls, openwork, and beaded or dotted edges, which add complexity and beauty to the piece.

Dimensions: Height 20 cm Width 16 cm

Good condition, appropriate for age. One of the two is missing the upper mounting and a lower cherub wing.

Shipping only to European Union member countries, islands excluded.

Seller's Story

I mainly collect Murano chandeliers thanks to the collaboration with some companies that restore apartments and palaces in Venice. In this way, over time, I have recovered the chandeliers of elegant and often ancient houses in the lagoon and in the nearby areas. Murano glass has an incomparable charm: every piece, even the simplest, has a story hidden in its fragility and its iridescent light.
