4 small Cardeilhac salt shakers (Christofle) with caps in solid silver (950/1000)

- Body: transparent glass with facets or vertical ribs, with an ovoid silhouette slightly bulging.
- Caps: metal silvered in appearance, but presumably solid silver 950/1000 according to the case.
- Decoration: beaded edge around the caps, characteristic of classical silversmithing.
- Packaging: green and white case marked « CARDEILHAC – ARGENT MASSIF 950/000 », with the note « STERLING FRANCE » on the side

Circa: 1960
Height: 4 cm
Width: 2 cm
Each salt shaker weighs 22 g (the glass container 20 g and the cap 2 g)

The glass part of the salt shakers is in very good condition
The solid silver caps are all in good condition (some wear marks and oxide)
The case is in generally good condition

A bit of history:

Cardeilhac is a Parisian house reputed for luxury silversmithing, with origins dating back to 1804.
Its name is associated with French luxury silversmithing of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The manufactury was acquired by “Christofle” in 1951.
After 1951: Christofle took over Cardeilhac, but continued to market objects under the brand “Cardeilhac” without necessarily displaying the Christofle name on the boxes.

Very careful protective shipping!
