Stunning Gelderland 6900 element sofa, designed by the Dutch design duo Scholten & Baijings.
This stylish set consists of one two-seater sofa and three separate one-seater elements. The elements are upholstered in burgundy red leather and stand on black legs. The leather is still in good condition and has a beautiful, warm appearance.
The 6900 series was designed in 2007 by Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings for Gelderland. The design is characterized by a clean and calm form, combined with high seating comfort. Typical of Scholten & Baijings’ work are the clear lines, the use of color and the attention to material and detailing.
Scholten & Baijings formed an internationally known Dutch design duo from 2000 to 2019. Their designs are included in the collections of, among others, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Centraal Museum Utrecht and the TextielMuseum in Tilburg. The duo worked for various major international brands and won multiple Dutch Design Awards.
A beautiful and generous design set from Dutch soil, suitable for both a modern and a classic interior.
