Rhinobatos sp. fossil guitar ray from Lebanon, Late Cretaceous about 93–100 million years old, restored original condition, 35 × 17 × 1.5 cm in size and weighing 1541 g.
Description from the seller
Beautiful fossil guitar ray Rhinobatos sp. from Lebanon, 1541 g, 35x17x1.5 cm
Offered is an exceptionally well-preserved fossil of the prehistoric guitar ray Rhinobatos sp., originating from the world-famous limestone formations of Lebanon.
Because rays are cartilaginous fish, they rarely fossilize. This specimen, however, shows an exceptional amount of detail; the contours of the pectoral fins, the skull, and the spine are beautifully visible and stand out sharply against the light matrix rock.
Condition & Shipping:
Condition: Renovated original. The thin limestone plate was broken during extraction and subsequently firmly glued back, which is standard for fossils from this region. The fossil itself is fully original and authentic.
Photos: The attached photos are an integral part of the condition description. What you see is exactly what you receive.
Logistics: The item is packed with utmost care and shockproof. Shipping is via an international courier service and is 100% insured. Any import duties or customs charges outside the EU are the buyer's responsibility.
