Description from the seller
Vintage storage ottoman with removable lid and distinctive metal loop legs
A powerful color, rounded shapes and a clever hidden function: this vintage storage ottoman is a characterful addition to the interior. The deep-red upholstery with dark hues and a decorative leather grain gives the furniture a vibrant look.
The curved side consists of two rounded bands, crowned by a round, upholstered lid. Under the ottoman, black metal loop legs provide a striking contrast. It is precisely the combination of soft forms and an open metal base that makes this piece special.
The lid is fully removable and reveals practical storage space with a light interior wall and dark base. Ideal for, for example, craft supplies or small home accessories. In this way the ottoman combines the function of a footstool with extra storage.
Similar round ottomans with red vinyl upholstery and a hidden storage compartment are known from the 1960s and 1970s. The offered piece aligns in appearance with this tradition of versatile interior furniture; the exact dating and manufacturer are unknown. (selency.nl)
A cozy accent next to an armchair or sofa, and a nice find for lovers of retro furniture with a practical function.
