Superb and imposing vintage tripod ashtray in enamelled art ceramic, entirely handmade and hand-decorated.
This object stands out for its bold geometric design and its massive silhouette, characteristic of the Mid-Century Modern style (1950–1970). Its architectural form draws aesthetic influences from the late Art Deco geometric codes. The body of the piece is coated with a glossy emerald green / very deep pine green enamel.

Each cylindrical foot is sculpted with horizontal gadroons in relief, beautifully enhanced by a bright gold fine-gilded finish that superbly highlights the object's lines. The top of each of the three feet features a fully gilded cigarette rest notch.

This ashtray will perfectly fit into a Hollywood Regency, Art Deco, or glamorous interior, paired with noble materials such as marble, gilded brass, velvet, and glass, but it will also elegantly integrate into a high-end contemporary décor.

• Manufacture: This object comes from a small-series production typical of regional art workshops in the Loir Valley in the 1960s. At that time, many potters and independent artists crafted these high-end decorative pieces for local art shops. The piece bears the identity of its place of creation, making this ashtray a fine example of French art ceramic of the era.
