Description from the seller
A stunning and rare vintage theatrical spotlight—specifically a "follow-spot" or profile spotlight—dating back to the mid-20th century, mounted on an original Fennel Kassel topographic tripod stand (Made in West Germany).
A unique piece with a striking sculptural presence, perfect for enhancing lofts, architectural studios, showrooms, or living rooms with an Industrial or Vintage aesthetic.
The metal body features its charming original "hammered green" finish from the era and louvered ventilation vents. It boasts a beautiful, authentic patina acquired over time.
The front section consists of a telescopic barrel made of solid, patinated brass. The true mechanical gem is the fully functional manual shutter/iris diaphragm—operated by the original lever—which allows the light beam to be widened or narrowed as desired!
A vintage solid-wood topographic tripod with metal reinforcements. It comes complete with its original plaque bearing the engraved serial number and the inscription "Made in Western-Germany" (indicating post-war German manufacture).
The electrical wiring has been refurbished for safe home use and includes a power cord with a switch. It is ready to be turned on and used immediately as a sculptural floor lamp.
• Total height adjustable via the tripod: from approx. 130 cm to over 180 cm
• Length of the spotlight unit (including brass cone): approx. 65 cm
Excellent vintage condition. The item displays authentic signs of age and theatrical use, which enhance its value to collectors. The mechanical shutter opens and closes smoothly.
Meticulous shipping with reinforced packaging to protect the structure and optics during transit.
