AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Offered: a very rare and complete Vaikiškas Kinas / Детское Кино (Detskoe Kino) - the Soviet hand-viewer cinema for children.
This optical toy was produced in the late 80s / early 90s in the Baltic States (A/O Balti, Tallinn - Estonia, model O-a-581-89). After the dissolution of the USSR this toy was no longer produced.
What you get:
• 1x Hand-viewer projector with turning wheel (black/white) • 5x Original film reels on a loop (35mm diafilm strips, children’s stories / cartoons) • 1x Gray holder / stand to project the film onto a flat surface with daylight • 1x Original manual / fold-out with technical drawing and orange cat illustration • 1x Original factory label / quality tag with date 25.08.92 and BALT logo • 1x Original cardboard box with yellow print "vaikiškas kinas"
Condition: Used, but complete and in good vintage condition. Viewer operates smoothly. Film reels intact, no tears. Box shows signs of wear appropriate for its age (see photos). A true collector’s item for fans of Soviet / USSR / Baltic toys.
Operation: Place the film strip in the viewer, look toward the light, and turn the wheel — the story moves by like a real small cinema. No batteries needed.
Rarity: This set with 5 films—4 you can see in the photo and 1 inside the toy! And original box and papers are almost never found. Usually without a box and with only 1-2 films.
