Handmade Moroccan Berber wool runner by Terracotta Flow from the Atlas Mountains in the 21st century, 290 cm by 78 cm, weight 5 kg, wool on wool, brown terracotta colour, in very good condition.
Description from the seller
Terracotta Flow – warmth, texture and craft in one unique piece
This remarkable handmade Moroccan Berber/Amazigh runner immediately stands out with its deep terracotta-orange color and rich, almost sculptural wool structure.
The runner is composed of broad, subtly offset horizontal bands. The lines are intentionally not perfectly tight or identical, creating a beautiful organic rhythm. The different bands seem to move like soft waves across the surface.
The warm terracotta evokes earth, the sun, and the natural colors of the Atlas Mountains. In combination with the natural cream-colored fringe, the runner gains an authentic and timeless look.
The horizontal lines can be interpreted symbolically as movement, rhythm, and the successive paths of life. In Amazigh textiles geometric and abstract patterns are often used as a personal visual language. The exact meaning of a motif can vary by region and weaver.
Thanks to its long and narrow shape, this runner is especially suitable for a corridor, entry hall, bedroom, beside a bed, or along a long dining table. The rich pile texture also provides a wonderfully warm and luxurious appearance.
