Description:
Offered: a beautiful, historically very interesting collection of 10 original paper envelopes (folders) with postcards about the fauna and medical history of Belgian Congo.
These educational series were published in the late 1930s (c. 1937–1939) by the then Royal Museum of Natural History of Belgium (now KBIN) at Vautierstraat in Brussels. They concern a highly sought-after, thematic collection with bilingual descriptions (Dutch and French).
Key features of this lot:
100% Complete: All 10 envelopes contain the full, original set of 9 postcards per folder (a total of 90 postcards).
Uncirculated condition: All cards are completely blank and unwritten, without stamps or postmarks. The inside of the cards is in excellent condition.

The postcards themselves are in very neat, uncirculated condition.
The paper envelopes show the usual light signs of aging (patina) and bear a small handwritten number from a previous collector on the front, which adds to the authentic character.
