Origin: Morocco; Model: Vintage Moroccan Boucherouite Runner – Abstract Multicoloured Composition; handmade Moroccan Berber designed in wool on wool, 70 × 230 cm, weight 10 kg, multicoloured on a cream background, in very good condition and professionally cleaned.
Description from the seller
A charming vintage Boucherouite runner filled with spontaneous color and texture.
Its narrow cream field is scattered with expressive fragments of red, turquoise, violet, orange, green, blue and black. Rather than following a strict repeated pattern, the weaver created a free and instinctive composition, making this rug feel almost like a piece of abstract textile art.
Traditionally produced from reused pieces of fabric, Boucherouite rugs embody an ingenious Moroccan approach to recycling. The different textiles create variations in thickness and texture that give the surface its lively, tactile appearance.
Its long, narrow proportions make this example ideal for a hallway, bedside, entrance, kitchen or small passageway. It could also be displayed vertically as a unique decorative wall hanging.
