Coin of 5 Mils in a base alloy with the distinctive central hole, a hallmark of the Mandate emissions in Palestine. The design features a wreath of stylized branches on the obverse and the face value in three languages — English, Hebrew and Arabic — reflecting the complex administrative and cultural reality of the territory. The reliefs are well defined with little wear, preserving full details in leaves and typography. A representative specimen of the last emissions prior to the end of the Mandate in 1948, during a period of intense political transformation in the region.
