Vintage Flying Tiger Line N447T Blikken Vliegtuig – Made in Japan - Toy - 1960-1970 - Japan

Specially large tin toy aircraft designed as a Flying Tiger Line four-engine transport/passenger aircraft. The aircraft is nicely lithographed with the text “FLYING TIGER LINE”, the Flying Tigers emblem, the American flag and registration number N447T.

The aircraft is marked with TN Trade Mark – Made in Japan. The model is largely made of tin/metal and equipped with four engines with plastic propellers, landing gear, and a battery-powered mechanism. On the underside there is a battery compartment for 2 × 1.5V batteries.

The aircraft is clearly in used vintage condition with signs of aging, including discoloration, scratches and superficial rust. It is precisely this patina that gives the model a beautiful authentic appearance. I have not tested the operation.

An impressive collectible for enthusiasts of Japanese tin toys, old aviation, and Flying Tiger Line memorabilia.
