AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Impressive and highly detailed bronze sculpture of Napoleon Bonaparte, depicted in his characteristic military pose with bicorne, long cloak, sabre and field glasses.
The calm, self-assured stance with crossed arms gives the statue a monumental appearance. Particularly beautiful are the detailed rendering of the face, the clothing, boots, cloak folds and military attributes. The dark brown-bronze patina is lighter on the raised areas, so the details come forward nicely.
The statue stands on a heavy black marble plinth, which forms a beautiful contrast with the warm bronze.
On the bronze base there are several interesting features, including:
* a handwritten signature in bronze;
* a circular foundry/bronze mark;
* a separately applied number A6806.
These markings have been extensively photographed and make the statue even more interesting for collectors.
A classic and decorative art object that is excellent to display in an interior, library, office, gallery or collection of historical and military art.
Material: bronze and black marble
Subject: Napoleon Bonaparte
Signed: yes, signature visible on the base
Numbered: A6806
Condition: good condition with normal signs of use and aging. The marble plinth shows locally small signs of use/imperfections; see the extensive photos for the exact condition.
Carefully and professionally packed and shipped with tracking.
