Vintage Hans Kögl style ceiling light / wall sconce – Florence Flower and Wheat Sheaves – 1960s/1970s

Splendid vintage built-in lamp (usable either as a ceiling fitting or as a wall sconce) in full Hollywood Regency / Florentine style, attributed to the Hans Kögl manufacture (Germany, 1960s/1970s).
The lighting body is entirely crafted in hand-worked metal with a patinated gold leaf finish aged by time. The sculptural and elegant design combines elongated floral leaves with detailed wheat sheaves (sheaf of wheat motif) that surround a single central light point. Perfect for adding a warm, sophisticated Mid-Century touch to living rooms, entrances, or bedrooms.

• Condition: Excellent vintage condition, solid structure, shows a beautiful natural patina of time attesting to its authenticity. Original electrical installation functioning (bulb not included).

• Structure: Excellent structural integrity. The metal is solid, the petals, tendrils, and wheat sheaves are firmly attached and show no broken parts or recent welds.
• Finish and color: The original gold leaf has a beautiful warm patina of time. Natural darkening and light/shadowing due to aging of the gold are visible (protective surface oxidation), which gives the piece the authentic charm of mid-century modern, excluding any modern reproductions. No significant chipping or rust spots observed.
• Components: The central lamp holder is original to the period, ceramic/bakelite, intact and without cracks.
• Note for the buyer: As this is an original vintage item from the 1960s/1970s, the electrical system is period-appropriate. Although functional, a quick technical check before ceiling mounting is always recommended.
