Special 18th-century Delft Blue plate with a rare depiction of a dragon

Centered is a large dragon with four claws on each paw (derived from Chinese porcelain where dragons were also depicted with four claws)
Notably the salamander-like speckled pattern on the body of the beast
Very beautiful scene, with intertwining branches and flowers as a continuous filling
Nice border decoration
With a brown-red edge

Marked on the back with the mark of Jacob van der Kool
Also decorated with several symbols (also a strong reference to Chinese porcelain)
Made of faience, Delft Blue

Dimensions: 25.5 cm length x 25.5 cm width x 2.5 cm height
Weight: 446 grams
Good condition with some edge chipping
Originating from the Netherlands, 1722-1757

Gewicht : 446 gram
