HISTORY / OVERVIEW
The Fiat Cinquecento Sporting represents one of the most lively versions and topped the Cinquecento range, appreciated for its compact dimensions, lightness, and particularly dynamic driving setup. Introduced in the nineties, the Sporting version stands out for its 1.1 FIRE engine, close-ratio gearbox, and a dedicated visual identity that enhances its sporty temperament while preserving the practicality of the Cinquecento.
The example offered at auction, registered in 1998, stands out for its extremely low mileage of only 36,000 km and for its preservation conditions as a true time capsule. It fully preserves the factory paint and represents an example of particular interest for originality, mileage, and condition, an authentic testimony of the small sport models of the nineties.
EXTERIOR
The car preserves its iconic original coloration Yellow Ginestra code 258, as reported on the factory identification plate. The bodywork is extremely solid and all original factory paint, free of corrosion. The painting has never been the subject of restoration and retains its full originality, as do all body details, still in excellent condition and kept by an enthusiast. Recently a professional polishing and detailing treatment was carried out. Measurement with a coatings gauge showed no signs of accidents, repairs, or repainting.
The underbody is in excellent preservation, completely original, solid and coherent with the car’s transparent history and low mileage.
INTERIOR
The cabin is in beautiful condition in a completely original configuration as per the model Sporting’s birth configuration, classic of the 90s. The interior is well preserved. The dashboard retains all factory instrumentation and all characterizing details of the version, as does the original steering wheel and gear knob. No abnormal warning lights on the instrument cluster. Recently a thorough sanitization of the entire cabin was also performed.
MECHANICS
Mechanically the car is perfectly functioning. The 1100 FIRE engine starts promptly, delivers power smoothly, and offers performance fully consistent with the certified low mileage. Manual transmission, clutch and braking system operate correctly, ensuring a pleasant and precise drive, in full respect of the model’s original characteristics.
The maintenance history confirms constant and meticulous upkeep: the technical checks have been regularly passed without defects in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024, valid until November 2028.
The car is delivered complete with original manuals and double keys and all factory equipment present.
An extremely interesting Cinquecento Sporting to find in these conditions, with only 36,000 kilometers. Owned by a true enthusiast of the brand and model, it is an unretrievable example for history and condition.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
