AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Small Antique walnut and walnut veneered Chest of Drawers – Neoclassical Style, 19th Century.

Elegant antique chest of drawers featuring three graduated drawers with beautifully figured warm-toned wood veneer, framed by darker contrasting wood mouldings. The drawer fronts are decorated with recessed rectangular panels and fitted with ornate brass escutcheons, giving the piece a refined Neoclassical appearance.

The chest features a shaped overhanging top with a raised rounded gallery-like edge, straight sides, and rounded bun feet. The combination of contrasting wood tones, symmetrical proportions, and restrained decorative details reflects the traditional craftsmanship of European furniture from the 19th century.

It is a very refined and of excellent construction that gives the piece of furniture a noble and affected appearance.

Very good overall condition consistent with age and use; wood surface with some scratches and minor defects, wear with splendid patina, with some ink marks (on the internal second drawer).

There is only one key which is allowed to open/close only the first drawer. The others drawers are lack of keys, but can be opened by using the upper key as a puller.
It is recently restored and applied the shellac finish by the Italian professional restorer.
Presented of some moth holes.
