Description from the seller

Baroque Mirror in Gilded Wood – 19th Century

Magnificent antique mirror in carved and gilded wood, dating to the 19th century, crafted in the Baroque taste.
The frame, of great visual impact, is richly sculpted with volutes, scrolls and floral motifs that intertwine harmoniously along the perimeter, culminating in an upper pediment with a central shell element and symmetrical decorations of refined execution.

The original glass, with slight oxidations due to age, contributes to the authentic charm of the piece, bearing witness to its antiquity and historical value.
The warm and uniform gilding enhances the reliefs and gives depth and brightness to the composition, making it ideal as a representative element in classical interiors or prestigious rooms.

A work of high artisanal craftsmanship, expression of the most elegant nineteenth-century Baroque, where movement and ornament blend in a balance of luxury and theatricality.
