AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
MINOLTA Hi-Matic 9, tested and working.
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
The Minolta Hi-Matic 9 of 1966 was the top model of the Hi-Matic line: a solid 35mm rangefinder with a fast Rokkor-PF 45mm f/1.7 lens, a bright coupled rangefinder and Minolta's CLC (Contrast Light Compensator) metering. It offers both fully automatic programmed exposure and full manual control over shutter and aperture — a combination its cheaper siblings lacked — plus a 'Easy Flash' guide-number system. Its heavy all-metal build and excellent lens make it one of the more desirable mid-60s Japanese rangefinders.
Condition: Used — Excellent
Pre-owned, moderate signs of use, optics clear
Serial Number
Please check the photo.
Appearance
Scuffs and scratches from normal use. Please check the photos for details.
Optical Condition
Lens: Clear, no haze, fungus or scratches
Rangefinder: Clear double image
Viewfinder: Cleaned inside
Functional
Meter and shutter work; measured exposure is accurate.
Light seals replaced; viewfinder cleaned inside.
Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 0.4 OVER / EV15: 0.7 UNDER
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.
Servicing
This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Light seals (foam) replaced
- Viewfinder cleaned internally
Bundled Items
Only what you can see in the pictures will be included in the package.
