Stool / Semi-Circular Bench in Neoclassical Style - Brass and Green Velvet
Description:
In auction, a refined semi-circular stool, perfect as a decorative or functional element in an entryway, at the foot of a bed, or in an elegant living room.
Main Features:
Design: The unique semi-circular shape gives this piece a distinctive and sophisticated look. It rests on three tapered, fluted (sculpted) Neoclassical legs, ending with bulb-shaped feet.
Materials: The frame and legs are made of brass (or gilded metal) with a beautiful vintage patina, showing light natural oxidation and signs of time, adding character and authenticity to the piece. The seat is generously padded and upholstered in luxurious green velvet, in a forest/emerald shade.
Details: The lower edge of the seat features a brass decorative band with a vertical grooved pattern that echoes the leg design. The underside is finished with the same green velvet, fixed to the underlying wooden structure with screws.
Conditions: The item is in good vintage condition. The brass shows a surface patina and slight signs of wear consistent with age. The velvet is generally well preserved, with minor shading and nap flattening typical of the material, but no tears or obvious stains. The structure is solid and stable.
