Description from the seller
Lot of 2 vintage theatre binoculars – Crystar Lens 2.5X with original box and unsigned model
Description
Interesting lot consisting of two vintage 20th-century theatre binoculars, featuring different aesthetic and construction solutions. A set suitable for collectors of historical optical instruments, theatre binoculars, and accessories related to the world of entertainment.
1. Crystar Lens 2.5X – Made in Japan
Vintage theatre binocular with a chromed metal body and period-appropriate finishes. The specimen retains its original box, an interesting item for collectors.
* Brand: Crystar
* Model: Lens 2.5X
* Origin indicated: Japan
* Magnification: 2.5×
* Estimated era: 1950s–1960s
* Included: original box
Condition: overall good cosmetic condition, lenses very clean and free of evident scratches. There is a defect in the closure mechanism: the binocular tends to stay open and the system does not reliably hold the position. The defect concerns the closing mechanism and does not compromise optical use.
2. Vintage unsigned theatre binocular – ivory color finish
Second specimen characterized by an ivory-colored body with tortoiseshell effect finish, dark details and metal parts. The classic shape and the particular color combination make it an interesting example of a 20th-century theatre binocular.
Condition: binoculars working, with operational focus adjustment and clear vision through the lenses. Signs of wear are visible on the metal parts, as shown in the photographs.
Features of the lot
Two vintage theatre binoculars with different characteristics: the Japanese Crystar with original box and a second unsigned specimen, functional and featuring a distinctive ivory color finish.
The lot is offered as a whole, with a transparent description of the conditions of both instruments.
Interested parties are invited to carefully examine the photographs, which document the construction details, cosmetic conditions, and characteristics of the two specimens.
